Evening Snowshoe Hikes
in Horseshoe Valley

Directions to meeting place will be emailed after registration.

Arrive 10 minutes prior so we can start snowshoeing at 7:00pm. 

Pace is steady, with distance: 3- 5 km (7-9pm) depending on snow conditions

 

Difficulty: Moderate with multiple hills. We hike on both flat and hilly terrain.  This is a weekly hike and as such, we will vary the route regularly throughout the edge of Copeland Forest and Horseshoe Valley.

IDEAS of what to wear: You will generate a good deal of warmth, so dress in light layers with lightweight base layers, light insulating layer(s), a breathable wind shell, warm socks, hat, gloves or mitts, hiking boots or “easy to walk in” winter boots.  Carry a warmer layer just in case you get a chill.

 

IDEAS of what to bring: extra socks, spare mitts or gloves, balaclava or face mask, camera and hiking poles. Since we tend to dehydrate more quickly in the cold dry environment of winter, bring plenty of water and/or a thermos of hot fluids.  Drinking steadily is beneficial for energy.

 EVENT FEES, CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY

All trip or program fees are non-refundable but transferable to a credit on your Sojourn account

providing you cancel within 24 hours of the scheduled date.  Cancelling on the day of the event

is not transferable or refundable.  If Sojourn cancels due to lack of snow conditions or

inclement weather we will credit or refund each customer registered in advance.
